Conceived by artist and Tree Committee member Genevieve Andre, many “Winter Flowers” ornaments are created from recycled plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and repurposed CDs.

Concebidos por la artista y miembro del Comité de Árboles Genevieve Andre, muchos de los adornos de "Flores de Invierno" se crean con botellas de plástico recicladas, latas de aluminio y CD reutilizados.

Genevieve works all year, collecting cans and bottles, removing labels, washing them, and preparing them to be transformed into unique ornaments for the East Harlem Holiday Tree. 

We are delighted that in 2018, Genevieve received much-deserved recognition for her artistry when she was featured on ABC-TV's Tiempo with Joe Torre as well as on Fox 5 News, NY1 Noticias, and in the International Herald Tribune!

Genevieve trabaja todo el año, recolectando latas y botellas, quitando etiquetas, lavándolas y preparándolas para transformarlas en adornos únicos para el Árbolito del Barrio. ¡Estamos encantados de que en el 2018, Genevieve recibiera un merecido reconocimiento por su arte cuando apareció en el programa Tiempo con Joe Torre de ABC-TV, así como en Fox 5 News, NY1 Noticias y en el International Herald Tribune!
